Longmont Meals on Wheels' primary focus is to provide hot, nutritious meals and a daily check to older adults and people with disabilities that reside in the Longmont community. This service helps them maintain their independence, health, and dignity. Longmont Meals on Wheels provides this service without any state or federal funding, thanks to the continued support of the community. Since 1969, we have been dedicated to serving those who cannot serve themselves.
So many older adults in Longmont stand to benefit from the services and support that Longmont Meals on Wheels provides. Consider the difference you can make for a homebound older adult who cannot manage daily tasks such as shopping and food preparation. Even a small investment of your time or money can make a big difference in the quality of life for one of your neighbors.
Not only does Meals on Wheels deliver meals to area seniors, we have a Senior Community Lunch Program located at the Longmont Senior Center.
All Longmont residents age 55 and older are invited to have lunch at the Park View Cafe located in the Senior Center, Monday - Friday from 11:30 to 12:00.
Cost per meal is based on a sliding scale.
The mission of Longmont Meals on Wheels is to serve our community by promoting client health and independence through good nutrition and social interaction, allowing participants to stay self-sufficient in their own homes.
